QWho can use BagsReunited?AAnyone who values his or her belongings! The BagsReunited service is ideal for people travelling on independent
holidays, business trips, group tours, backpacking adventures or simply their annual two weeks in the sun. We
recommend you attach a BagsReunited label to all your belongings and leave them on there all the time to ensure they
are always protected. QIs the BagsReunited service easy to use?A
Yes. Simply register as a BagsReunited member, and you will receive a unique, personalised, BagReunited ID code. If
it’s valuable to you, put the ID on and it will be automatically and immediately protected whatever it is – computers,
cases or camcorders. The system works on anything but is ideal for luggage as you can print off your uniquely
coded-tags from the website. Should your luggage go missing, anyone who finds it will discover clear instructions on
the label about how to use the BagsReunited.com website. Once they have registered your item as found, we will contact
you immediately via email and mobile phone. You can then make arrangements to get your item returned.
QIs BagsReunited really free to join?A
Yes! We are here to help as many travellers as we can and so the best way we thought we could do this was to make it
FREE to use. Your tags never expire, you can use them on as many items as you wish. There is an upgrade option which
allows you to get an SMS text alert to your mobile phone when your item is found and for this there is an annual
charge.
If you upgrade you also get access to the travellers’ document store. Here you can keep all your travel details and
copies of all your important travel information securely in one place, as recommended by the UK government.
QHow soon will I receive my BagsReunited tags?A
The simple answer is as soon as you register. The whole process takes less than 2 minutes to complete, so in just
two minutes you can protect all those things you treasure. As you print out the BagsReunited labels from your
computer, there is no shipping or handling fee and you can register with BagsReunited right up until the moment
you leave.
QHow many BagsReunited labels will I receive?A
Once you have registered you can print out as many labels as you want or need. On each A4 printout you will get four
identical labels measuring 84mm x 55mm, that’s business card size. They are designed to fit perfectly into standard
size luggage label holders. Simply put one in your bag, one on your bag and one in your wallet.

How long does my unique BagsReunited number last and do I have to register again after I am reunited with
lost items?

Your unique BagsReunited tag number lasts a lifetime. There is no need to re-register if you lose and are
subsequently reunited with your bags.
QDo I need to tell you that my luggage is lost?A
You do not have to tell us if you have lost something but if you lose more than one item, telling us will help
confirm to the finder which item they have found. If you do tell us and visit the site, it does give you the chance
to check your contact details are correct, and check into the traveller’s document safe to retrieve the important
details you have stored there. To let us know that your luggage has been lost, log-on to our site and enter as many
details about the lost item as you can. If someone reports your lost item as found, BagsReunited will inform you even
if you have not told us about the loss or not.
QWhen someone finds my bag, how can they contact me?A
When someone finds your lost item, the coded label gives simple clear instructions on how to contact the owner via the BagsReunited.com website. The finder types in the unique code, their own details so that you can contact them, the location of the lost item, and its description. They will not see any of your details as these are held securely on our systems. You will then receive an alert with these details by email and for instant alert members (only $4.99 a year), also a SMS text message. If you have also selected the landline option, one of our customer service agents will contact you on this number too. You can then contact the finder to organise collection of the item.
QWhy would a finder contact me?A
When travelling, abandoned luggage is usually found and reported by airport staff. However, most fellow travellers are good Samaritans. If they find an unattended bag with the relevant details, they will either contact you or advise airport staff. The same goes for the general public. The vast majority are very honest and will try to return anything they find. Obviously with BagsReunited it is a lot easier for them to do that. And as a thank you, and an added incentive to report the item as found, BagsReunited.com offers finders a free upgrade to the instant alert service so they can take advantage of the protection that BagsReunited gives.
QHow are my contact details kept?A
At BagsReunited we make it a priority to ensure all the information you give us is stored securely. And by using the
BagsReunited service, only your name and your unique BagsReunited code is displayed on your labels. This removes the
substantial risk to both you and your property which you get when using conventional luggage labels which display
your address, broadcasting the fact that you are not at home. Members can update and enter descriptions of their
luggage and local contact details online at any time.
QWhy should I use BagsReunited labels instead of just writing my name and address on my bags?A
Writing your name and address on conventional luggage labels can put both you and your property at substantial risk. Simply by tearing off the label, someone can find out where you live and, of course, as you are about to board an aeroplane, they also know you will not be there. You also run the risk of having bags lost on outward journeys being sent back to your empty house. By using the Bagsreunited labels, only your ID number is displayed, enabling airport staff or any other finder to then contact you and forward your baggage to the destination of your choice.
QHow safe will my credit card payment be?A
Completely safe. All BagsReunited customer credit card payment details are processed through PayPal, a leading online
credit and debit card processing company. You can use Switch, Maestro and Solo debit cards, along with Mastercard,
Visa, Visa Delta and Visa Electron cards on the site. None of your credit card details are kept by BagsReunited.com.
QWill my personal information be kept secure?A
BagsReunited.com is registered under the Data Protection Act. We will use the information you provide solely for
the purpose of reuniting you with your luggage. See our privacy policy for full details.
QWill I be sent lots of spam and unwanted emails if I register?A
No, we have a no spam policy. We will inform you of new features of the site as they are added. We will also not
send you constant emails asking you to upgrade. We are actually very happy if you just use the free service!
QWhat happens if I need to change my contact or travel details?A
It is easy to update any information on your personal profile. Simply log on and go to member services and change
what you need.
QIs it only individuals who can register with BagsReunited?A
No. Companies and travel clubs are welcome to join and we are able to do bulk registrations for groups. Please
contact us for further details.
QIs it possible to register by post?A
At this time, we only offer online registration. This enables us to keep the price of our service very low.
QWill anyone who finds my bag be able to see my personal details?A

QWhat do I do if I lose my luggage?A
After you have informed the airport or relevant authorities, visit the BagsReunited website and log in. Then go to the Bags Lost section and report exactly what you have lost. Remember to give as detailed a description of the items as possible. When an items has been found, which may even be before you report it to us, we will email and for instant alert members (only $4.99 a year) we will also text message you with the finder’s contact details. You can then contact them to arrange for the safe return of your item. For more details, see

If you are unlucky enough to lose more than one item on the same trip, each item protected with a BagsReunited.com ID can be reported and you can arrange for all the items returned. The BagsReunited ID will continue to work even after your lost item is reported found so there is no need to register for each item you want to protect and there is no need to re-register, your tag ID lasts a lifetime.
QCan I expect any reward if I want to report a bag as found?A
The owner of the bag may wish to reward you, however this is entirely at his or her discretion. However, everyone who reports a bag as found gets free upgrade to the Instant Alert service with BagsReunited.com as our way of thanking you for your help.
QIs BagsReunited a replacement for travel insurance?A
No, BagsReunited is not a replacement for travel insurance. You are strongly advised to take out appropriate
travel insurance whenever or wherever you travel.
QWe are travelling as a family, do we need to register individually?AIf you are all travelling together then you can just register once and protect all the luggage with one BagsReunited ID. Any lost items found will be notified to the email and cell phone that has been registered on the site.
