QWho can use Bags Reunited?
AAnyone who wants to protect their belongings while traveling. The Bags Reunited service is ideal for people traveling on holidays, business trips, backpacking adventures, even group tours or cruises. It is a globally supported service that you can access from an Internet connection anywhere in the world.

QHow many Bags Reunited tags will I receive?
AAfter you have registered, you can print as many labels you need for as many trips as you take. On each A4 size printout, you will get four identical labels measuring 84 mm by 55 mm, which is the same size as a business card. The labels are designed to fit perfectly into standard luggage label holders that are commonly attached to luggage. Simply put one in your bag, one on your bag, and one in your wallet.

QAre my travel and contact details safe?
AYes, your contact information is never shown to the finder of your items. The coded Bags Reunited tags you attach to your luggage and personal items ensures that no one knows your home address or contact information. Using the Bags Reunited tags is actually safer than any other method of tagging your luggage!

QCan I use Bags Reunited if I'm traveling on business?
AYes, Bags Reunited works for any type of travel. We welcome companies and travel clubs to join as we are able to perform bulk registrations for groups. Please contact us for further details.

QWhat steps to I take if my luggage is missing?
A After you have informed the airport or related authorities, visit the Bags Reunited site to report what you have lost, including as many useful details as possible. When an item is found, which may even occur before you are able to report it to us, you will receive an e-mail (and if you've purchased the optional upgrade, an instant alert text message) with the finder's details.

QDo I have to tell Bags Reunited my luggage is missing?
A No, Bags Reunited will inform you even if you have not told us what is missing. You should, however, take the opportunity to ensure that your contact details are correct. If you decide to let us know what items are lost, log in to the site and enter as many details about the lost item as you can. If more than one item has been lost, this will help the finder confirm which item they have found.

QWhat if I lose several items at one time?
A If this happens, each item is protected with a Bags Reunited tag and can be reported individually. There is no need to register for each item you want to protect. The Bags Reunited ID tags continue to work for all your lost items.

QWhen someone finds my bag, what do they do?
A When someone finds an item you have lost, the coded label provides clear instructions to:
  1. go to the Bags Reunited site
  2. type in the unique code, the item description, and their contact information
It's as simple as that! The finder will not have access to your contact details, as those are held securely in our systems for your own safety. You will receive an alert that your bag is found - by e-mail with the free service, or also by SMS text message with our optional upgrade - and you can contact the finder to collect your items.

QIs Bags Reunited a replacement for travel insurance?
A No, Bags Reunited simply helps you reunite with your bags ... appropriate travel insurance is still recommended whenever you travel, even if it is for business. Travel insurance can provide interim funds to help you purchase personal items you need to comfortably continue your travel; Bags Reunited helps your bags get back to you.

QIf we are traveling as a family, do we need individual registrations?
A Not unless you want to. If you are traveling as a group, one registration will protect all the luggage under the same unique ID. When lost items are found, they will be reported to the registered e-mail and mobile phone number.

QIf I've found a bag, can I expect a reward?
A The owner of the bag may wish to reward you, but this is entirely at his or her discretion. Anyone who reports a bag, however, gets a free upgrade to the instant alert service with Bags Reunited as our way of thanking you!
